Miranda Powell

Miranda's work as a School-Based Therapist is grounded in a systems-oriented perspective that considers the interconnected influences of family, school, and community on student well-being. They draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and somatic approaches to support adolescent emotional regulation, identity development, and growth.

Miranda brings over ten years of experience working with children and adolescents across school-based mental health, intensive outpatient behavioral health, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and child and family therapy. Miranda values collaboration, cultural humility, self-determination, and creating inclusive, emotionally safe environments where students feel seen, heard, and supported. They currently work with students at Tigard High School and Fowler Middle School within the Tigard-Tualatin School District.
